When trying to experience different baby games, babies respond to the sound of music from early infancy. Musical baby games help to stimulate your baby through physical touch and hearing. Enjoy a boat ride with the classic song Row, Row, Row Your boat. Start by sitting down with both legs fully extended. Sit the baby on your lap in the same position and gently rock back and forth as you sing the song. As the song ends, lay all the way back and watch your baby’s face light up with delight. Babies over six months have the ability to grab and hold items with their hands.  Because of this, you can use musical baby games to help stimulate their brain and work on their motor skills.  Turn on the radio and watch your baby play and dance along with the rhythms. Depending on the song, you can make a game out of tapping with the rhythm.  Have your baby move when the music is on but freeze once the music goes off.  Make it more exciting by playing a music video and teaching your baby how to mimic the moves in the video. This is a game that makes your baby aware of the different body parts and how they move.  Another one of the musical baby games involves singing.  Although singing does not require physical movement, you can still test your baby’s ability to repeat the sounds they hear. Just look at your baby and sing. The baby won’t be able to sing words back to you but your baby will be able to open their mouth and try to mimic your sound.

TEACHING YOUR BABY HOW TO PLAY BABY GAMES

Learning should begin before your child starts school. Babies are curious about everything around them, and so the learning process starts at home. You can help in stimulating and developing his brain by teaching him how to play different baby games. There are a wide range of fun and interesting baby games that you can play with your infant that focus on different visual and auditory skills. Here are some tips on how you can teach your baby how to play these games with you.

In order to avoid distractions, turn off the television so that you will have the full attention of your baby. Distractions can cause her to lose focus during the learning process.

Whatever baby games you choose, make sure that it is age appropriate. In baby games, you don’t want to teach a two year old a game that is for a 6 month old. The game peek a boo is for babies between the ages of three to six months. This is one of the baby games that helps in developing an infant’s memory, as well as teaching them about the concept of cause and effect.

Begin with one game, and work with her each day for between 20 to 30 minutes. Every few days change the baby games; this will ensure that she is kept interested as well enhancing other motor skills.

As your child grows, modify the baby games to suit his needs. Take the game peek a boo for example, ideally it is meant for a three to six month old, and at that age it involves you playing the game while your baby laughs while watching you. His hand to eye coordination will improve as he grows older. When you notice the change, encourage him to play the game with you. Teach him how he should cover his eyes and then to take his hands away. Baby Games x
